berabags is an independent site of plain-English questions and answers about bags. It covers everyday use, buying, care, repairs, travel rules and purchase problems for handbags, backpacks, totes and travel bags.
Independent and unofficial. berabags is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any bag brand, retailer, airline or government agency mentioned on this site. Brand and company names are used only to identify what an answer is about.
What you will find here
The main section is Talk, a growing library of question-and-answer pages. Each page takes one specific question, such as whether a backpack with a built-in battery can go in checked luggage, or what to do when a faux leather bag starts to peel, and answers it directly.

How we write
- Editorial Team. Talk answers are published under the name berabags Editorial Team.
- Sources are listed. Each answer is based on official or authoritative sources, such as airline, regulator, manufacturer or consumer-protection pages, and lists them at the end of the page so you can check them yourself.
- Facts and advice are kept apart. We try to separate what a source states from what we suggest you do, and to say when a rule depends on the airline, country, store or product.
- Rules change. Airline policies, return rights and product details can change. Check the linked source before you rely on an answer for a trip or a purchase.
